1/2" Plug Ref 290 Black is a high-quality Plug Malleable Iron Fitting, manufactured from Low Carbon Steel (LCS) to EN1562, and finished in Black. This fitting features a 1/2" BSP male thread, which conforms to the gauging requirements of BS EN 10226-2 and BS 21. The threads are chamfered to facilitate easy assembly and prevent cross threading. Designed for durability, it is suitable for use with Steel Pipes to EN 10255. It is rated for a maximum working pressure of 25 Bar at 120°C and can operate in a wide temperature range from -20°C up to 300°C. These fittings are approved to multiple standards including BS EN 10242, BS 143, and BS 1256, and are UL Certified, satisfying the essential safety requirements of the Pressure Equipment Directive (PED) 97/23/Ec. This specific Plug is ideal for hot water heating systems, gas installations, oil pipelines, compressed air systems, fire extinguishing systems, and other general engineering applications for sealing an opening.
