Lowe Rust Primer, 375g Dove Grey, is a premium primer specifically formulated to protect against rust. This innovative primer can be applied directly onto old or new metal, even over existing rust, and is effective on damp or wet surfaces with minimal surface preparation required (only removal of loose and flaky material). It chemically reacts with rust to neutralise it and prevent further corrosion. A second coat provides an additional barrier for enhanced future rust protection. While no over-coating is necessary, it serves as an excellent base for most standard paints if desired.
